Founded in Kigali in 2024 by Rwandans for Rwandans first, Zamo Save was born from lived experience with tontines (ibimina), savings cooperatives and investment clubs across Rwanda and the African diaspora. Our founders saw firsthand how groups struggled to manage collective finances transparently and efficiently.

Traditional methods — notebooks, spreadsheets and manual tracking — too often led to disputes, lack of transparency and administrative burden. We set out to build a solution that honors the communal spirit of ibimina while bringing the transparency, automation and Mobile Money integration (MTN, Airtel) that modern Rwandan and African communities deserve.

Today, Zamo Save serves communities across Rwanda, the diaspora in Canada and beyond — helping them manage collective savings, track contributions, approve fund requests, disburse loans via inTouchPay Mobile Money, and build stronger financial foundations together.
